Montra profile

Montra is the perfect companion to the music that drives you on.
It’s the power behind those who were born to achieve greater things.
It’s the ride that makes the world an unending open road.

MONTRA, “My Track” is the bike that lets you ride out your aspirations, that lets you choose your own path.

It is the music that uplifts and fuels your ride.

Montra also means collection and the Montra range of bicycles under Montra will be part of the unique collection of TI. Faster, lighter and stronger than any cycle ever created in India, Montra Techno is the first international standard carbon bike designed and manufactured indigenously.

TI’s choice of creating a carbon frame bicycle comes from extensive research on usage of carbon in the cycling sector. The new range will address the need of the consumer, who always asks for element of fun and comfort while riding. The frame of Montra Techno weighs 1.37 kgs and the bicycle weighs 8.74kgs.

Testing

Montra has undergone over 20 rigorous tests to ensure global standards. The Nastran software used for topology testing and test for the aerodynamic material, lay up, strength and stiffness. Finally, the bicycle was road tested from Udaipur to Delhi where our designer and other company representatives rode it for a few thousand kms to experience the first carbon bicycle manufactured in India.

Montra Technology

T700 Carbon Frame &Montra Integrated Composite Dropout System (MICDS)
The Montra Techno frame is made of T700 Carbon, an advanced composite material (ACM) used in high performance vehicles like F1 cars, motorbikes and airplanes. Carbon fibre has 1/4th the density of steel but offers superior mechanical resistance characteristics in spite of its light weight. Techno also has the Montra integrated composite dropout system which results in excellent power transfer with the lowest possible weight.

Monocoque Design & 3D
The frame of the Montra Techno has a carbon fibremonocoque design. It is a single mould, hollow shell. The frame has a topologically optimized design (TOD) which allows for better speed. It has increased stiffness which absorbs tremendous amounts of road shock and vibration while staying extremely rigid laterally for power transfer and confident cornering. The Techno’s rear forks also have a Dynamic D Section Diamond (3D) that enhances resistance towards deformation.

FBT – Flat Bead Technology
Montra uses Flat Bead Technology, a process that removes bead ripples that are usually the result of a TIG welding process. The welding beads are made flat in two consecutive steps thus reducing disruptions to a minimum. It improves aesthetics without compromising on the weld strength.

BB30
Montra Techno has BB30, the new industrial standard for bottom brackets that is stiffer and lighter than standard bottom brackets. The weight of the crank is reduced by eliminating the BB cups and using an alloy oversize spindle that increases the stiffness of the crankset. The BB30 bearings are larger than those used in other systems, and it extends the bearing’s life.

SRAM & Shimano Technology
The Montra Techno uses SRAM Rival technology with tried-and-true competition proven design, while Montra Jazz uses internationally acclaimed Shimano technology. SRAM delivers even gear changes over the entire shifting range via a precise 3mm movement from gear to gear. It has an aluminum cage and inner link which allow for weight savings with added structural integrity. Techno has SRAM's WiFLi™ Technology, which delivers a wider range of gears than the standard triple; faster shifts through two chainrings and 10 gears with significant weight savings.
